8. Uninstalling a MSHelp2 Application

Step by Step

Note: Complete each Action in the order shown below:

Action A: Using Helpware FAR to remove your MSHelp2 Collection namespace from the MSVSIPCC.v80 parent namespace

  1. Close Visual Studio.
  2. Open Helpware FAR HTML.
    1. Click on the H2 Utils icon in the Authoring dialog box.
    2. Click on the Namespaces tab.
    3. Scroll down to the MSVSIPCC.v80 namespace and double-click on it.
  3. The Register - MSVSIPCC.v80 dialog box opens.
    1. Click on the Plug-ins tab.
    2. Locate the namespace of your MSHelp2 application and click it to highlight it.
    3. Click on the Remove button.
  4. This will remove your MSHelp2 application child namespace from the MSVSIPCC.v80 parent namespace.
    1. Click on the Close button.
    2. Close Helpware FAR HTML.

Action B: Using Add or Remove Programs to remove your MSHelp2 application

  1. Keep Visual Studio closed.
  2. Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs.
  3. When the Add or Remove Programs dialog box opens, scroll down to your MSHelp2 application and click on it.
    1. Click the Remove button.
    2. Be patient while the uninstall process occurs.
  4. When the uninstall has completed, close the Add or Remove Programs dialog box.
  5. Open Visual Studio and check to make sure your MSHelp2 application has been removed from the Help Contents tree.
